Outline Itinerary

Day 01:  Jayapura Arrival – By Flight Wamena, Pass Valley & Kontilola Cave  (-/L/-)
Arrive at Sentani Airport or you will be meeting by  our staff at your hotel,  by car transfer to the Airport again for  your flight depart at 10:00 or 12:00 to Wamena.  (baggage allowed for these flight is 10kg only per passenger, as you can leave your unnecessary baggage in Jayapura with us before leaving. (please note: the flights are delayed very often) Upon arrival at Wamena airport transfer to Baliem Pilamo Hotel. We begin our tour to Jiwika and Kurulu in the northern part of the Baliem Valley. Few kilometers from Kurulu we will visit the famous Kotilola Cave. A section of this huge cave is partially broken down, a condition that contributes to lush vegetation. Driving north to the market-place of Uwosilomo where more photo opportunities are waiting for us. From here we drive up the mountains to the Pass Valley, where deep green mountain forests are waiting for us to admire. We will take a lunch break during our ride in a suitable location. Small side trips through the beautiful forest are possible. On our way back we will stop in Meagaima, a small Dani hamlet next to the Baliem River to see the mummy of a Dani chief (about 30 min trek). We return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Lunch in Box is provided and dinner will be on your account. (walk in approx 1-2 hours)

Day 02:  Easy Trekking South Baliem Gorge (B/L/-)
In the morning we drive to the southern Baliem Valley. The road ends in a village called Sogokmo, about 3 km before Kurima. Our walking tour along the powerful Baliem River begins here. First a suspension bridge has to be crossed. After that the tour goes on through Dani settlements with terraced fields and wild groves of sugar cane. All the time we have a wonderful view over the river and the narrow valley. In the early afternoon we reach the church of Seinma where we will have our lunch surrounded by beautiful landscape. Before we reach Kurima another suspension bridge has to be crossed. This trek offers unique photo opportunities and our car will take us return to the Hotel in the late afternoon. Lunch in Box is provided and dinner will be on your account. If this trekk is still hard, you may skip it and turn to different side of Sogokmo or Yetni area. Lunch in Box is provided and Accommodation at hotel, dinner will be on your account.   (Easy walk in approx 3-4 hours)

Day 03:  Salt Spring,  Mummy, Traditional Dani Houses (B/L/-)
In the morning we drive up to Jiwika in the central Baliem Valley. Our one the traditional salt spring of a Dani clan. Clothed in their traditional costumes, the native inhabitants will demonstrate the old techniques of the salt production. Following the demonstration, we will have our lunch on the mountains base then walk down to a Kurulu hamlet, where a very old mummy of the famous Dugum clan is proudly presented for your viewing. Afterwards the women show us how the brought brine is processed.  hour trek begins at the base of the mountain and ascends 300 meters through a beautiful rainforest, reachingIn the vicinity we will see more picturesque hamlets. Everywhere the friendly natives offer their arts and crafts, weapons and curiosities for our inspection. In the afternoon drive back to the Hotel.  Lunch in Box is provided and Accommodation at hotel, dinner will be on your account. (walk in approx 2-3 hours)

Day 04: Mock Battle/Traditional Dance (B/L/-)
A special welcome will be given to you upon your arrival in the Village; the tribe member  will assemble wearing their best outfit to show their appreciation. In Anemoigi to view the Mock Battle by Dani Tribe. The Tribe chief will stand on a Traditional Observation and give the order to his people to celebrate. A special “Ceremony” it is one of the most interesting exhibitions you will see on traveling to Papua. You will see and experience the local culture and  have an opportunity to interact with local villagers. Handicraft are available. Return and We will visit Traditional Market. Lunch in Box is provided and Accommodation at hotel, dinner will be on your account

Day 05:   Wamena – By Flight To Jayapura / City Tour  (B/L/-)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to  Jayapura at schedule at 09:00. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura by car drive  to Kalkote Dock to have a local boat  for excursion at Lake Sentani, we could do a lake tour 1-2hours in the this lake by seeing local people with their traditional life. Walk around and seeing the local people of Sentani tribe making their arts, bark painting, neckles, and variety of handy craft. Lunch at Local restaurant near lake Sentani.  On the way to get to downtown of Jayapura we will stop at Cenderawasih Museum (open 09:00 am-15:00 pm), and Hamadi Souvenir Market. Transfer to hotel for Check in.  In the evening you will have a lot of time to explore all sides of Jayapura downtown as well as local restaurants and cafe. Dinner  will be on your account and accommodation at Hotel.

Day 06:  Jayapura – Departure (B/-/-)
After breakfast at your hotel,  by car transfer you to the airport in approx 70 minutes leaving Jayapura for Makasar, Jakarta or Denpasar.
